Herrin man faces burglary charges
BY JOHN HOMAN
Friday, November 23, 2007 3:37 PM CST
MARION – A 21-year-old Herrin man was arrested Wednesday and charged with residential burglary. Cambria Police responded to a reported burglary in progress by attempting to stop the driver, Travis W. Braden, who was driving a black Dodge truck.

Authorities say that Braden did not yield and attempted to flee from police. The pursuit, which led into Jackson County, was terminated near the south edge of Carbondale.

Braden was taken into custody and later incarcerated at the Williamson County Jail. Items recovered during the investigation are linked to at least two recent residential burglaries in Williamson County.

A spokesman with the sheriff’s department says an investigation into the case continues.
