BY BETHANY KRAJELIS, The Southern
Thursday, February 7, 2008 3:59 PM CST
UNION COUNTY -- Illinois State Police District 22 in Ullin has identified the 87-year-old man who died Tuesday afternoon after crashing his vehicle on Old 51 in Union County.

Victor M. DeGraff of Cobden was not wearing his seatbelt when his southbound vehicle left the roadway, one half mile west of Bee Tree Lane around 3 p.m. Tuesday, police said.  The 2002 PT Cruiser traveled down a short embankment, struck a tree and overturned, coming to rest on the passenger's side.

Emergency crews took DeGraff to Union County Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
