Public meeting on Varsity Center for the Arts next Wednesday

CARBONDALE -- Carbondale Community Arts and the Jackson County Stage Company are seeking ideas from the public in renovating the former Varsity theater into a center for the arts in the downtown area.

The organizations are hosting a meeting next Wednesday from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. in the Carbondale Civic Center.  Members plan to give the public an update on the renovation process at the Varsity and listen to the thoughts people have about what might be included in the planned "Varsity Center for the Arts."
