Eldorado bank to change name next month

ELDORADO -- First State Bank will be changing its name to Legence Bank Aug. 1.

Started in Eldorado more than 100 years ago, bank officials say the bank will remain a family institution with the same board, management and staff.  Bank President Kevin Beckemeyer said the name was changed to "accomodate future growth outside of Southern Illinois."

The bank has two additional facilities in Evansville, Ind.

Customer accounts will not be affected by the name change, and no action is required.  Customers who bank online will want to note a change in the bank's Web site to www.legencebank.com.
