Two jailed after alleged home invasion, discharge of weapon

ELDORADO — Two Eldorado residents are in jail after one entered a home and battered a resident and the other discharged a firearm Tuesday morning, according to a police report.
Jennifer K. Ego was charged with home invasion after she allegedly entered a residence in the 700 block of Cameron Road near Eldorado at 2:40 a.m. Tuesday, according to a press release from Saline County Sheriff Keith Brown.
She was an uninvited guest at the home of Timothy J. Leonberger and allegedly battered a female at the residence.
Charles William Ryan Ray, 29, entered the residence twice and allegedly fired several shots from a gun. No one was injured but he allegedly damaged a stereo and a doorbell. Several car windows were also damaged.
Ray was charged with two counts of home invasion, criminal damage to property, unlawful use of a weapon and reckless discharge of a firearm.
Ray and Ego are in the Saline County Detention Center. The investigation is ongoing.
