Buckner woman airlifted to Evansville following accident
BY BECKY MALKOVICH, The Southern
Thursday, October 2, 2008 11:52 AM CDT
FRANKLIN COUNTY — A Buckner woman was hospitalized after a one-vehicle wreck in rural Franklin County Tuesday afternoon.

Faye Buckner, 84, was airlifted to an Evansville, Ind. hospital after the 4:18 p.m. crash on Park Street Road near Katherine Street, Sheriff Bill Wilson said.

Buckner was eastbound on Park Street Road when she apparently lost consciousness and as a result, control of the vehicle, he said. Her vehicle crossed the road's centerline and traveled along an embankment before striking the end of a guardrail and rolling down into a creek bed, he said.

Buckner was treated at the scene before she was transported to the Indiana hospital. Wilson said the extent of her injuries is unknown.
