Police revised motorcycle description of bank robbery suspects
BY THE SOUTHERN
Friday, October 10, 2008 8:02 AM CDT
CARBONDALE -- The Carbondale Police Department has amended the description of the motorcycle used by two suspects in Thursday's armed robbery of the First Southern Bank branch.

Police now say the motorcycle that left the scene shortly before 10 a.m. was forest green and black in color.  Reports previously had the bike colors as red and black.  The motorcycle is a mixed sports-style bike.

Police have also added the detail that one of the suspects wearing the black helmet and hooded green sweat shirt had on red tennis shoes, according to witness reports.

Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to call the police department at 457-3200 or the Crimestoppers tip line at 549-2677.  Anonymous tips can also be left by selecting the Crimestoppers link on the Carbondale police Web site home page at www.carbondalepolice.com.
